We have had LOADS of questions regarding the new Gambler Poly Table Tennis Balls, and I think it best to address it and answer all the questions I have had.
Q. Are these seamless?
A. Yes (one piece made by a centrifuge method).
Q. Are these balls better than a plastic ball with a seam?
A. There currently is NO ball made with a seam that can compete with the Gambler Poly Table Tennis Ball.
Q. How do you compare this ball to the Celluloid 40mm?
A. The Gambler Poly Ball is significantly more durable than its celluloid cousins, about the same speed and bounce, and it also carries spin quite well - as well or nearly as well as a celluloid ball.
Q. How do you compare the Gambler Seamless Poly Ball to other seamless poly balls?
A. By our specifications this ball is put to the highest standard that centrifuge technology is currently capable of. In addition, we use an extra 3 step selection process to eliminate bad eggs from making it into the package. You will not find a better seamless ball.
Q. Why is the ball so cheap?
A. If you feel paying more for the BEST will make it even BETTER let me know! I will set up a fund for my daughter's college expenses you can donate to.
Q. Why is it USATT Tournament approved?
A. We do have an ITTF approved seamed poly ball, but to be honest seamed poly balls are a waste of money. We scrapped the project and I refused to put my name on a seamed poly ball, in my opinion they are garbage and not something I wanted my brand associated with. They will fall off the ITTF list next year. In order to fill my customers needs we approached the USATT, and we were able obtain affidavits and testing from our manufacturer certifying the Gambler Poly Table Tennis Balls are made to meet or exceed ITTF standards.
Q. Can I use the Gambler Seamless Poly Ball for my table tennis tournament?
A. Any USATT sanctioned event can be sponsored with Gambler Seamless Poly balls. In fact by doing so you are supporting a USA company that directly supports the USATT!
Purchased these the day they announced on facebook! Best plastic ball I have used to date, 20 hours of play on the first ball out of the pack and still going strong. All the balls are round and no seam to break. I was using a high quality seamed ball and they will last 4 to 5 hours. The claim of lasting 4 times longer seems to fairly accurate. Thanks for the low price too, our club is changing over this week.
Great ball, long lasting and very round. The logo is good for reading spin
Very good quality with consistent bounce. Have had practice rallies well over 100.
I bought 18 of these balls and am really impressed with the consistency and roundness throughout the batch. My group has been playing with these at our weekly meet and they are definitely a step up over the Double Fish 40+ balls we had been using.
They play about the same as XuShaoFa, roundness is relatively consistent but the huge logo is kinda distracting. I really hope they will change that (say, to 50% of the current size)
Hands down the best ball on the market I have tried the NP40+ I have tried the G40+, the new Gamblers are better in every way, including price. I liked the previous version with the bigger logo however this newer version is even better!! Thanks for the great product,
So many positive reviews!!!!!!!!!!! Mine seems redundant, but I have to concur. I have been playing with the same ball now for over 3 months. Three times a week, 1-2 hours per night. You do the math. I am not easy on the ball, I hit well with 755 long pips on my forehand without sponge. I will start a new ball next time, it's becoming too shiny and smooth. I was hesitant at first but now I prefer this seamless plastic. It's harder and digs into the sponge deeper before deforming. I got more spin both looping and chopping. Look, this is quality ball. Plastic is cheap, so there is simply no incentive to try to make a ball inferior so it can be sold cheaply. Enjoy the product. Hit it hard. It ain't your father! :)
Our club changed to these from the Nittaku premium, we went from breaking 3 balls a night at 3 bucks a piece to nearly zero of the Gamblers. These balls are very round and DURABLE, very very DURABLE.
I played them. They are pretty good. You mentioned "made to meet or exceed ITTF standards", then why not pursue "ITTF approved", which category this ball still fails? Customer has the right to know. By Zeropong: Thank you for your review, the ball is 100% up to ITTF standards, guaranteed. There is no benefit to pay the ITTF $3000USD a year for approval for a ball that is made specifically to be used in USA Sanctioned events.
I bought 3 packs of these balls and they are great. They stand up to aggressive play and provide true bounce and consistent play. These balls are well worth the money.
This is hands down the best plastic ball I have tried. From a durability standpoint, seamless balls are far superior to their seamed counterparts. This ball is seamless. This ball sounds good when bouncing also. When plastic balls first came out, people complained they sounded broken. I see none of that with this ball. It's a great ball, great price, great performance. Definitely pick up & use regularly this ball if you're in the market.
This is Gambler's first ball that carries the ITTF Approval. All 36 balls of my first order were very round with no noticeable wobble! No ball breaks after two weeks training use. I rate this ball as better than the G Butterfly and the Nittaku Premium!
