Using 2.1mm red. This rubber I Feel has a noticeable break in period. I did not boost/tune. First 3 hours I felt it was the worst of both worlds. I lacked the blocking of mechanical and the speed/spin of tacky. But after 3 hours, the rubber came alive, and now it feels like the high control hybrid rubber I expected. Blocks are a bit difficult due to the tacky topsheet, but are still doable. Flicks are average. But when struck harder, this combination really delivers a low throw loop with low bounce. You don't need to hit as hard compared to other tacky rubbers due to the softer sponge/topsheet. I recommend this to people wanting to transition between tacky/bouncy rubbers, as this is a good medium. Great for players training to improve. I will try 1.7 next as I feel I lack the power needed to hit hard enough consistently to bring out the best of this rubber.
