KTL GREEN DRAGON PRO XT
KTL Green Dragon Pro XT has a tacky top thin and very supple top sheet combined with special green sponge. Loop and Attack Thinner sponge 1.5mm is good for controlled play and chopping.
I purchased a few bats with this rubber on the forehand. I'm a novice/intermediate player, but I am able to keep the speed in check on the forehand. On backhand I'm going to another slower rubber with a little more spin. I would say that the speed took adjustment coming from other pre-made products from better known brands. Overall for the money, this is a good jump off point for thick/fast rubber that can be controlled. I cannot comment on the durability yet, but it seems decent. It is pretty tacky, so it requires a bit of maintenance. I have chipped a piece off of the edge, but it was my own fault.
Using this in 2.1mm Red. After less than an hour, the tackiness goes away. Once that happens, the rubber becomes a good close to the table control rubber with good blocking, serves, pushes, and drives. The sponge/rubber combination lacks the power/spin needed to do loops consistently for me. I do like the light weight though and recommend this for players under 1500 (like myself) who don't want to emphasize loops.
