Gambler Zero is a mechanical spin type rubber, generating spin exclusively via grip. Zero's non-tacky surface is ideal for away table play or flat hitting (just like Japan or Euro rubber).
Have this in 1.7. Great rubber. Very light. Pretty balanced...I'd say the ratings are spot on except 88 might be a little low on spin. It's a little higher in my opinion. No problem generating tons of spin. Only downside for me is it has a higher throw than I expected and am used to. Higher throw than Mech-Tek Predator, for comparison, which is the other newer Gambler rubber I've tried.
